Dr. Peter Nguy

Dr. Peter Nguy is a dedicated and highly trained physician specializing in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He completed his residency at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, where he also served as Administrative Chief Resident and contributed extensively to clinical education and research.

Dr. Nguy earned his medical degree from the Georgetown University School of Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science in General Biology from the University of California, San Diego, where he graduated magna cum laude and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.

Dr. Nguy has presented nationally on complex otologic and reconstructive procedures, including osteoradionecrosis management and facial nerve outcomes. His research has been published in leading journals such as JAMA Network Open and the World Journal of Otolaryngology, and his early work in biotechnology led to several U.S. patents in antibody engineering. His excellence in the field has been recognized with numerous honors, including the Jennifer Woo MD Memorial Award for Excellence in Otolaryngology.

Committed to advancing patient care through innovation and empathy, Dr. Nguy is also active in professional organizations including the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and the American Rhinologic Society.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Nguy enjoys photography, mentoring students, and exploring new culinary experiences.
