Dr. David Lam, MD, MS

ABOUT
Dr. David Lam is a compassionate and highly trained physician specializing in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He will be joining Desert Cities Allergy & Otolaryngology following the completion of his residency at the University of Louisville in 2025.
Dr. Lam earned his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California, where he also helped lead community health initiatives and mentored future healthcare professionals. He holds both a Master of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the University of California, San Diego, graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
Throughout his training, Dr. Lam has published and presented extensively on ear reconstruction, nerve regeneration, and head and neck cancer. His research and patient-centered approach have earned him numerous awards, including the Michael B. Nolph Award for top performance on the Otolaryngology Training Exam and a Cancer Care and Control Grant for his work with Asian American head and neck cancer populations.
Fluent in conversational Vietnamese and proficient in Spanish, Dr. Lam is committed to building strong connections with patients and providing culturally sensitive care. He has a deep passion for medical education, community outreach, and clinical excellence.
When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Lam enjoys photography, gardening, exploring National Parks, and taking road trips with his dog.
